Helicopter UH-1D
. . .
Dear customers,
We would like to introduce the all-new Stirling engine model
"Hubschrauber UH-1D"
::: From the original to the model :::
The design depicts a new Stirling engine model UH-1D at a scale of 1:24 (approx. 65cm length). The original helicopter Kennz.72+99 was built by Dornier in Bavaria in 1969, undergoing routine testing in Oberpfaffenhofen on 18/11/1969.
In 2002 and 2013, the UH-1D helicopter helped flood victims in Germany. The original represented here has been painstakingly restored and saved from the scrapyard. The helicopter was digitised and, using the 3D data arising thereof, produced in our machines.
We are developing and bringing to production maturity a small aluminium helicopter powered by a Stirling engine. In essence, the model consists of milled aluminium, brass, and stainless steel parts. As you might imagine, the development process is costly and protracted, not least because we endeavour to build all our models as close to the original as possible.
Moreover, our model must be fun to operate and provide the most movable parts - just like the original.
This includes, for example, main and tail rotor drive, tilting of the rotor swept area during operation, movable doors, etc.
Finally, we shall design Germany Military and US Army variants with a metallic finish - according to our design – and painted emblems and parts labels.
We trust our offering will arise your interest.
We will inform you promptly as soon as it becomes available.
